- ShipLoc equipment is discrete and operates automatically:
- A single casing includes:
- GPS receiver which calculates the position, heading and speed of the ship.
- Argos transmitter based on an independent location and data collection system.
- A back up battery in case of main power supply failure.
- A junction box
- 2 alert buttons (or more in option)
- All the necessary cables for transmitter activation.
- ShipLoc service is a complete package including:
- Argos Satellite airtime for transmission of ship position, speed and heading.
- SSAS alert monitoring by operators, 24-hour a day, 365-day a year, with notification by fax, email and telephone to the Company Security Officer, the flag state authority and the IMB.
- Data distribution on the dedicated website: www.shiploc.com.
- Position reports archiving.
- Permanent monitoring of technical status, to inform you when the unit is not received or if it is disconnected from ships' power supply.
- Creation and definition on your website of surveillance criteria such as entry/exit of geographic zones.
